CONTEST!

EarthFare

I'm not sure if you have heard yet but Chattanooga is getting an Earth Fare grocery store. I've been to the Earth Fare in Knoxville and love it. I'm so excited to be getting one close by. In honor of their grand opening, the fine folks at Earth Fare are offering the readers of Another Gray Hair the chance to win a $50 gift certificate. Go ahead! Give it a try:

Budgets always get really tight around the holidays.  We all know that.  And, Earth Fare, the healthy supermarket, seems to know that too.  Have you been to their stores?  If so, you would know that they are  always trying to make healthy eating affordable, easy and delicious!  Seriously - have you tried their homemade, all-natural chocolate chip cookies - if not, it is .99 cents of deliciousness!  Well, in celebration of the opening of their new Chattanooga store on December 9th, Earth Fare gave me a $50.00 gift card to give away!  Yeah, very cool.  They just said, hey Julianne, give this away for us.

So, now, we want you to tell us why you deserve or just plain want this gift card.  We've all got stories.  You may be hosting your family's holiday dinner on an extremely tight budget.  You may have lost your job recently and just need some extra help to make it through this already tough season.  You may be a cookie lover or organic food nut!  Or, perhaps for whatever reason, you've never tried a healthy food store and just want to see what it's like!  Give us your best reason, and we'll consider it for the prize.

The best story gets the card.  So, ready, set, and get writing.  Post your reason in the comments below today!  You only have until Friday, December 4 to get your entry in.  And, we're waiting..

  1. Dr. Phil says I'm fat cuz I want to be fat, but I think maybe I am fat because I have never had the opportunity to be fortunate enough to step foot inside an Earth Fare store. This $50 gift card could be the first step to a new me. "What have I done today to make me feel proud" you ask. Hopefully joining the Earth Fare fan page on facebook after using my gift card and falling in love.

  2. I am really excited about the new Earth Fare store. i looked at their website yesterday and signed up to receive their emails. i have two boys, ages 9 and 6 and my husband and i are trying to raise them to like fruits and vegetables and eat healthily..by having them at least TRY what the are being offered. we haven't jumped on the health food wagon or gone overboard with the whole idea..yet..but if it's affordable?! we probably will. i've always said it's SO expensive to eat healthily. i was talking to my boys yesterday about the new store, "By Target". my youngest son said, "AH MAN! does that mean they don't sell candy and toys there?!"..i told him that we'll have to see, but we are going to trade some stuff in our pantry for healthier food..we are excited! <3

  4. I would like to have this gift certificate for my son. He is almost 5 years old and he cannot eat anything with food dye. It makes holidays very difficult because there is so much stuff stuck right in his face. Candy canes that they hand out everywhere, all the cookies and cakes everywhere you turn, marhsmallows for hot chocolate. We have ordered some natural alternatives on line, but to be able to buy them in East Brainerd, and having someone locally to give Greenlife a run for their money, is going to be wonderful. Thanks!!=)

  5. I am so excited that we're finally going to have another alternative in this town to give Greenlife a challenge on prices! Eating healthy is such a struggle for me & my family. In this era of fast food and overscheduling, it makes it so difficult to provide 1, much less 3 healthy meals for my kids especially. I'm hoping that Earth Fare will have healthy alternatives to the high fructose corn syrup snacks that my children like to lean towards. Being able to pack healthy snacks and cook a great dinner (on a budget) for my family will not only make us feel better health-wise, but it will help me sleep better at night. Thanks for the chance at this and welcome to town Earth Fare!

  7. I just spent all morning making healthly whole wheat, pumpkin, apple, carrot muffins for my daughter. I know, sounds like a wild muffin right? Anna loves them though and I feel good that I know she is eating something healthy that I made from scratch. I'm just looking forward to having a better place to purchase organic fruits and veggies and such so I can make more organic foods of this kind. My goal is to maybe feel like supermom! Doesn't everyone deserve to feel like supermom every once in awhile?

Tell her to grab me an organic pie, on the isle of bakery goods, Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Would have added more but you know, two kids, a wife, dog and job leaves little time...
